On 28th January, South Gippsland Golf Inc. held their Opening event at Meeniyan golf course, in calm and sunny conditions.
The event was a relaxed mixed fourball, with great trophies and ideal conditions for golf.
A grade winners (combined 38 handicap) were Irene Holm (19) and Phil Johnston (19) with 43 points (Meeniyan), Runners up Veronica (14) and Neil Park (18) with 40 points (Meeniyan).
The B grade winners were Graham (14) and Sue Hoskin (29) (Meeniyan) with a score of 43 points.
Runners up in B grade were Col (14) and Jo Graeme (26) (Meeniyan) also with 43 points.
Down the line balls: Jan (22) and Ian Trease (23) (Meeniyan) 43 points, Mark Carruthers (9) and Janet Thomson (32) (Woorayl) 41 points, Graeme Watkins (5) and Barb Warren (14) Foster 39pts, Elly Berryman (13) and Brian Wilson (27) Woorayl 38pts.
