25 May 2025 – what a great day for women’s golf in South Gippsland!
We had sunshine, laughs, and some awesome golf down at Phillip Island Golf Club for the first ever South Gippsland Women’s Challenge, that ran alongside the Men’s South Gippsland Singles Championship – and what a way to kick it off!
Big congrats to Aliesha Wrigley, who came away with the win on 31 points. She scored herself a $50 Phillip Island club voucher – thanks so much to South Gippsland Golf for sponsoring the prize. Main sponsors for the men’s event were Ag Warehouse, Jack Gilchrist Area Specialist and Haymes Paints.
It was such a fun day out, and it was fantastic to see the support from the guys too – really backing the women’s event and helping it run smoothly.
We’d love to see even more women get involved next year – this event is all about bringing people together and having a good time on the course. Women’s golf events can also be on the weekends. Make sure to keep this event in mind.
Can’t wait to do it all again in 2026 – bigger and better!
