MEN'S PENNANT 2023 - South Gippsland Golf

2023 MEN’S PENNANT COMPETITION

There will be 3 sections of Pennant with the first round commencing on Sunday 26th February 2023 for all sections.

- Section 1 (scratch): 7 teams. (Host Club to have a bye when Pennant is at their course)

- Section 2 (handicap): 8 teams.

- Section 3 (handicap): 8 teams.

Phillip Island, Leongatha and Lang Lang have requested that their course host the pennant on one day, On these days there will be 2 divisions playing at the course for the whole day. These will occur in Round 5, 6 and 7 respectively.

Format at courses with 2 divisions playing will be morning and afternoon tee times
First set of matches will be hitting at 8am from both 1^st and 10^th tees. Second match to follow 8.45am.
In the afternoon, the first set of matches will hit off from 11.30am from both 1^st and 10^th tees. Second match to follow at 12.15pm.

All Match’s will be played in 2’s Handicap division to be played in order from 7 to 1

In HANDICAP MATCHES the maximum handicap will be 36 for this season.

The grand final between the top two teams in each section, failing playoffs for 2nd position, will be on Sunday 30th April 2023 at a neutral venue.
