Junior Country Regions 2025

Heathcote Golf Club will host the 2025 Junior Country Regions on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2025. The championship will be contested by teams from each super region, with the best six scores (minimum of one boys and one girls scores) from each round

2025 Gippsland Junior Championships

Results

Eight boys from South Gippsland recently competed in the Gippsland Junior Championships, held on 23rd and 24th January at Morwell and Yallourn Golf Clubs.

2025 Women’s Opening Day

Results

Sixty Eight golfers competed in the Maree Anderson SGGI Opening Day at Foster Golf Club today in a 4BBB format. The winners of A Grade were Veronica Park and Heather Poletti from Meeniyan Golf Club with 50 points. Kylie Collins and Geraldine Sinclair, from Foster

SGGI Women’s Bowl 2024

Results

Woorayl Golf Club, on Friday 15th November, hosted forty-two women from the district in the final South Gippsland event for 2024.

New Advanced Skills clinics for 2024

News

A new round of skills clinics have commenced, under the guidance of Melissa Taylor at Leongatha Golf Club. Participants were nominated by their club, with 12 women from 5 clubs now undertaking the 4 sessions on Sunday mornings, from 8:30-10:00.

Country Teams fundraiser 2024

News

Sunday 8 September saw the 2024 Country Teams fundraising Ambrose day held at Wonthaggi. The blustery winds returned, blowing all day, and with the soft, wet course every player faced a challenging day.

2024 SGGI Womens Singles Championships

Results

Friday September 6th, Lang Lang Golf Club hosted the 2024 SGGI Women’s Singles Championships. The course was presented in excellent condition despite the recent battering winds that have affected many of the district clubs.

Advanced Skills Clinic 2023-24.

News

Four Sessions were conducted by golf Professional, Melissa Taylor at Leongatha Golf Club, beginning in December, then followed by sessions in January, February, and April. Time allocation was 8.30am – 10.am. Twelve players committed and represented five clubs.

2024 SGGI Foursomes Championship

Results

20th May saw Leongatha Golf Club host the South Gippsland Women’s Golf Foursomes Championship. 16 pairs enjoyed the cool but rain-free weather.

2024 Joyce Berry 4BBB Par Championship

Results

3rd May saw 42 women compete in the Joyce Berry 4BBB Par Championships at Meeniyan Golf Club. This event has been held annually for over 40 years: Joyce Berry, in whose honour the event is held, was a Captain and Champion at Wonthaggi Golf Club
