Woorayl Golf Club, on Friday 15th November, hosted forty-two women from the district in the final South Gippsland event for 2024.
As is often the way, the host club also provided the winning team. Linda Forrester 28 pts, Lyn Delaney 36 pts and Sherril Winkler 34 pts had a combined score of 98 to win on a count back. The unlucky group from Korumburra, were Kerri Besley, Shelley Snooks and Julie Hillberg, all very closely related (sisters).
In the individual divisions the winners were: A Grade Kerri Besley (Korumburra) 36 pts, B Grade Pauline Lancaster (Woorayl) 38 pts and Lyn Delaney also from Woorayl was the winner of C Grade with 36 points.
The nearest the pins were won by Heather Poletti (Meeniyan) on the 11th, with Jenny Cope also from Meeniyan on the 17th.
Down the line balls went to 35 pts Geraldine Sinclair (Foster), 34pts Inge Giliam (Woorayl), Bec Thomas (Leongatha), Dot Christie (Meeniyan), Merryn Dear (Wonthaggi), Lyn Leppin (Korumburra), 33pts Jo McNaughton (Leongatha), Shelley Snooks (Korumburra), 32pts Kim Enbom (Korumburra) and Marion Walker (Wonthaggi).
