An almost capacity field competed at the South Gippsland Golf 4BBB Maree Anderson Opening Day held at Phillip Island Golf Club on Friday 9th February. Scott & Sharon Anderson of Handley and Anderson Funerals Wonthaggi provided a delightful array of plants for the winners, as the business has done for the last thirty two years.
Maree Anderson was fondly remembered and acknowledged- for her great contribution to all levels and areas of golf in South Gippsland and fittingly was a life member with SGGI and Wonthaggi Golf Club she is sadly missed.
The winners of A Grade were Kay Dumbleton and Fay Quilford (Leongatha) with 45pt. B Grade was won by the pairing from Wonthaggi, Chris Hamilton and Marion Walker with a score of 46 pt.
Runners up in A Grade were Helen Coghlan and Maureen Ellard (Phillip Island) just one shot behind 44pt and in B Grade with 45pt wereduo from Meeniyan Golf Club, Sue Hoskin and Faye Le Page.
