Women’s Pennant 2026

There will be 3 sections of Pennant, with the first round commencing on Monday 23rd February 2026 for section 2, with sections 1 & 3 commencing Monday 2nd March 2026.

Teams will consist of 5 players.

After the success of last year’s “Solheim Cup-style” format in section 1, the clubs voted at the Captains’ meeting to adopt a similar format across the 3 sections this year.

• Section 1 (scratch matchplay): 2 teams.
• Section 2 (handicap matchplay): 7 teams.
• Section 3 (handicap matchplay): 4 teams.

Unfortunately, as there are again only (the same) 2 teams able to commit to Section 1, (scratch matchplay), we have altered the format slightly.

In all sections, each round will involve 2 x Foursomes OR 2 x 4Ball matches plus one Singles match.
Foursomes & 4Ball rounds will alternate.

Teams in each section may be organised without regard to handicap order. Two pairs and one singles player will be documented on the team sheet for each match.

In HANDICAP MATCHES the maximum handicap will be 45 for this season.

The grand finals between the top two teams in sections 2 and 3 will be on Monday 4th May 2026 at a neutral venue.

In section 1 the last round will be played in conjunction with the finals in section 2 and 3.
